'News Shop' stamp and date stamps to the inside rear page, 3 dates, all in 1943. Author of 'Inquest' among others, this is his 4th Mystery title.

NY: Sears, 1930 A decent example of this scarce title with some light water marks to the top edge. DJ unclipped with moderate edge wear and spine sunned a bit.

NY: Holt, Rinehart and Winston, 1962 A very Good Example in cloth hardcover in an unclipped dust wrapper from a rural NH library with a bookplate and pocket inside. Clean, NO markings to the exterior or dust wrapper. A scarce title.
