First edition very good in wrappers. Macintosh was a professor of Theology at Yale University. As a Canadian citzen he was notable in the 1931 Supreme court decision for his right to a "selective conscientious objection" in his application for U.S. citizenship. Scarce.

Scarce hardcover issue with the ownership sticker of Henry W. Keyes former governor of New Hampshire and U.S. Senator. Color fold out map in rear.

First American edition. Very good in bright blue cloth with scattered foxing to endpapers. Exceptionally scarce in a very good dust jacket with a small tear on top spine edge.

Very good dust jacket ( slight sunned spine and with interior age toning ). Scattered foxing on top edge. Original essays.by the likes of Mann, Boas, Russell, Einstein, Maritain, Stefansson, etc.. Inscribed by Vilhjalmur Stefansson ( famous Artic Explorer ) to his private secretary and frequent collaborator on other books.

Very good plus condition in sleeve jacket with cellophane remains. Anti-war poems from the likes of Robert Lowell, Arthur Miller, Anais Nin, Paul Goodman, Barbara Howes, Richard Eberhart, Galway Kinnell, Richard Wilbur, Daniel Berrigan, Arthur Miller, Paul Goodman, Marguerite Young and others.

Very good in red cloth binding with a small light water stain to a section of the spine. Frist American edition. A solid copy.
