Description:
France: Figuration Critique. Very Good. 1985. Softcover. 290223418X . Unpaginated, (approx. 250 pp.); oblong 16m0, 6" x 8.25"; illustrated brown wrappers; full page halftone reproductions throughout, excluding six pages of explanatory text in English & French. Light wear to extremities; creasing to leading lower edge. Appears to be an early, if not the first publication of this association of artists defined on their current website [in a google translation]: "a point of convergence for artists of different sensitivities but which all assert the choice of the figuration to propose a rebuilding of reality where the permanent questioning (critical) on the human one and his environment is integrated in a process of contemporary creation." Founding members listed: Mirabelle Dors, Maurice Rapin, Yak Rivais. .
