Nice Copy. quarto. orig. cloth x + 148pp., frontis., b/w pls., With 52 plates illustrating amongst others the 41 battle planes presented by subscribers in Australia. Nice copy with tissue-guarded plates & a very fine engraved colour title-page & a further half-title page drawn and illuminated by Fred Leist. Blue cloth (not the usual vellum) with a bright gilt device incorporating the heraldic shields of Australia, NSW, Federated Malay States & Straits Settlements on the front board & bright gilt titles. Pencil ownership signature of T. Trumble, Secretary to the Minister of Defence, Victoria Barracks, Melbourne. Cloth a little dulled at spine & light rubbing o/w a very nice tight, square copy of an extremely scarce early Australian aeronautical item
