The individual volumes are bound in blue cloth, blind stamping on front boards and stamped in gilt on the spines - the covers are rubbed, scuffed and lightly soiled. Edges are aged, some mottling to the printed endpapers. Sewn binding are firm. Each volume contains maps and black and white photographs. Volume One: 576pp including frontmatter. Volume Two: 472pp, including frontmatter and index. Volume Three: 646pp, including frontmatter and appendix. Volume Four: 746pp, including frontmatter, index and appendices.
