DJ has shelf-wear present to the DJ extremities (missing the spine, the two panels are present). Bound in cloth with paper titles present to the spine and the front board. Boards lightly rubbed and worn. No ownership marks present. Text is clean and free of marks, binding tight and solid. E. J. Pratt (1882-1964) is generally recognized as the leading Canadian poet of his generation. Moreover, as Marshall McLuhan observed in 1958, Pratt was, in his personal and social life, 'a one-man creator of a climate for the arts and letters in Canada.'
