Shepard, numbered 309 of 350 copies.

Finely bound by Riviere & Son (stamp signed at front turn-in) in "Kelliegram-style" in caramel crushed morocco featuring a 5 inch high Pepys holding a candle at center of front cover, surrounded by ornate gilt geometric and floral decorations, same decorations repeated at rear cover. Wide gilt turn-ins with marbled end papers, all edges gilt. Near Fine, a rub to gilt at bottom edge, quite slight rubs at spine. xxiii, 570 pages with 6 pages of maps at rear.
