FOURTH EDITION 1946 (first published in 1941), 178 x 115 mm, 7 x 4½ inches, light grey boards, mounted colour plate, endpapers illustrated in black line, 24 text pages plus 2 page catalogue at rear, 24 delightful full page coloured illustrations, small black and white vignettes in the text. Story of naughty young squirrel who, although not dressed, lives with his family in a normal house with tables, chairs, table-cloths and crockery etc. Minute bump at head and tail of spine, inscription dated 1947 on front endpaper, remains of bookseller's tiny label on rear pastedown, contents clean and bright. A very good plus copy in good only DUSTWRAPPER (dw: price clipped, head and tail of spine and corners worn with tiny chips, spine and folds rubbed, 30 mm (1¼") split at foot of lower hinge, neatly repaired. Small 8vo, 178 x 118 mm, 7 x 4½ inches, buff boards, navy blue illustration and lettering, blue patterned endpapers, 24 text pages. 24 delightful full page coloured illustrations, black and white vignettes in the text. 2 naughty dressed kittens steal some jam tarts. Very tiny bump at head of spine, lower corners very slightly worn, inscription on front endpaper, contents very nice. Very good plus (lacking dustwrapper).
