Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened. Cloth is slightly wrinkled on all surfaces. Cloth has minor damp and dust stains.

In very good minus dark red cloth boards, gilt 'Punch" motif to front and spine with gilt titles. The covers are quite clean, slight wobble from loose hinge; spine ends frayed; slightly shelf-cocked. Slightly marked and tanned end papers. Gilt top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are lightly tanned. In very good text block, pages quite firm and straight and with some slight tanning on the page edges. Many (173) b/w illustrations. No dedications etc. Without jacket.
