Ex-library with sticker on jacket spine and cover, stamp on top and bottom block edges, card pocket inside front cover, and bookplate on front free endpaper. Jacket has a 1" chip at top of front cover and some scuffs and small chips around edges. Book is excellent, and folding map is in perfect condition. This is a scarce first edition of historian Grant's publications of the journals of Capt. Marcy, detailing his explorations in Oklahoma and New Mexico in the mid 19th century. An uncommon edition with a very attractive folding map.
