Description:
Henry Holt, 1928. First Edition. Hardcover. Good. Paul Honore. Beautiful full-page color woodcuts by Honore suitable for framing. This could be a breaker, or it might be restored (one leaf is loose; spine label is browned). This copy came from the Armed Forces Editions library, and has the editor's stamp and the bookplate of one of the staff members. It was the basis for a cheaper Armed Forces Edition without the illustrations.

Description:
New York: The Henry Holt Company, 1928. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. Paul Honore. See photos for condition details. Tall hardcover, limited edition of 320 copies, signed by both the artist and illustrator, this is number 125. Tan cloth boards show scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. There is also a small tear to the cloth the upper right corner of the spine. The internal binding is good at boards, though there is some pulling and thin cracks starting, such as at page 330, where a hairline opening can be seen in the gutter. Pages are toned due to age and there is some very minor scattered foxing and spotting. No other handwriting or signatures found, no library markings, no bookplates. Stated first printing on the copyright page.
