Pages are heavily marked with intense tanning and foxing, plus heavy thumbing. Gutters somewhat cracked with some exposed netting. Heavy creases to some pages. Boards have some edge wear, with bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are moderately crushed and rubbed. Slightly scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Patchy foxing and brown marks. Book has a moderate forward lean. Several minor dents to board edges.

"Columbus crossed the Atlantic Ocean on his third voyage in charge of three vessels on a treasure-hunting expedition undertaken, ironically enough, in the name of the Most Blessed Trinity, and at Noon on July 31st, 1497, he sighted land. Three mountain peaks, merging their bases into one, gradually rose from the iris-blue sea, and these peaks symbolising 'The Holy Three,' Columbus named his discovery 'La Trinidad.' - the opening paragraph.
