Description:
London, Frederick Warne & Co., lithographed in Holland by Emrik & Binger, (1890).. Circa 1890, small 4to, 20 x 170 mm, 8 x 6¾ inches, colour illustrated buff boards, vignette on half-title, coloured frontispiece of the May Queen, coloured vignette to title page, 16 full page pretty coloured illustrations of children in the Greenaway manner and a coloured vignette on the final page, (48) pages of verses for the seasons and seasonal activities of children with numerous black and white illustrations in the text. Spine slightly worn with some chips to surface paper at head and tail, corners very slightly worn, a little faint foxing to endpapers and half-title, small crease to 1 lower corner, otherwise contents clean and bright.
