Handsomely bound in publisher's mid-blue half morocco with raised bands, gilt decoration to spines, buckram sides, top edges gilt, grey endpapers. First and final leaves with some offset toning from endpapers else contents are clean, bindings pleasantly aged with some very light wear only. A most attractive set, unusual to find in an old leather binding. Bound circa 1938, the set comprises books available at the time of binding; Vol 1 'Revised' ed.; Vol 2 'Reprinted' (i.e. Second Impression); Vols. 3 and 4 are First Printings.
