Blue cloth spine, titled in gilt, and biscuit boards titled in red. About fine. One of 200 copies, signed by the author. Illustrated by Charles Stevenson. [xii], 173, [1, blank], [1, colophon], [1, imprint] pp. 1 vols. 4to. A Wild Night in Greenwich Village. Beautifully produced illustrated novel of a night in Greenwich Village, illustrated by Charles Stevenson from scenes directed by the author and by publisher Paul Williams. Chester Anderson was author of The Butterfly Kid (1967) and was the impresario of the communications company in San Francisco during the summer of love. His other books include the gay classic Puppies. Despite the statement on the colophon, most copies (as here) were signed only by the author. A remarkable visual record of a vanished world.
