A fine, as new copy, still in publisher's shrinkwrap. Marianne Brandt (1893-1983) is celebrated for her Bauhaus metal designs and mass producible objects to revolutionize modern interior spaces. Less well known are her photomontages from the 1920s and 1930s that drew upon the Weimar Republic's illustrated press to challenge pictorial conventions and imagine new roles for women.
