Colour illustrated dustwrapper which has faded on the spine section, and has chipping at the head of the spine, over brown vinyl like boards with gilt writing on spine. Slight shelfwear to the base edge, and the top third of the front free end page has been carefully cut out to remove an ownership inscription. Each chapter explores the variations both in flavouring ingredients and in cooking methods, from the simple to the elaborate and the step-by-step instructions are clear and easy to follow, and remove much of the mystery that has always surrounded Chinese food.
