An uncommon, later and much reduced, version of the 1912 book by Jessie Pope with illustrations by Louis Wain. This copy has been well read and is complete, but soiled and creased, with a repaired spine. Twelve pages of poems on a scouting theme with colour illustrations and monochrome illustrations on endpapers. Uncommon with one copy, only, on COPAC. Blackie And Sons Limited. Hardback. Good. Undated hardback edition, c.1912, with no jacket. In overall good-to-very good used condition with some minor signs of age, handling and storage - paper-covered boards with blue cloth spine and pictorial on-lay to front, are rubbed to edges with a couple of light marks and a little tanning to rear board . Binding tight and appears lightly read. Internally clean, no annotation or inscriptions; tanning to end-papers but text and charming full-colour illustrations remain particularly bright and clear throughout. Not an old library book.
