Hardcover, green cloth boards with gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows spotting and light soling, edges and corners show bumps/wear. Inscribed and signed by author on the front end page which also shows a December 16, 1913 date. The front end page, title page, and dedication page all contain a small hole on the right edge, possibly caused by insects or something that ate through the paper. The binding for the text pages is good and so is the front board but the rear board hinge is cracked. Paper is toned due to age and there is some light smudge marks and foxing present.
