Part of The After-School Series. Laid inside is a student brochure for the CLSC, with the exact same picture of the Chautauqua Hall in black and white, labeled/titled, and dated 1884-1885, presumably for the incoming class to which this pamphlet was issued. Tri-fold, 7.25 X 4.5 inches folded closed, 13 x 7 opened. The pamphlet describes CLSC history and that of previous graduating classes. It also inicates the classes being offered, the books required, some associated costs and some general student information. Leather is heavily scuffed and rubbed, with board exposure at corners, and 1x2' piece missing from spine head of Vol 1, exposing paper backstrip. Spine leather is dry. Hinges starting a little, else binding quite secure. Pre-owner's name and date (1889) on ffeps, in lovely quill or fountain pen handwriting.
