Small ridge formed on the front cover. End pages are maps of the area in which the birds of this diary were seen. James Vincent, the author of this bird diary, was an expert on the native birds of the area around the Norfolk village of Hickling. This diary of his sightings, recorded for one year--1911, was preserved by Edwin Montagu, who commissioned George Edward Lodge to paint the birds sighted by Vincent. The result was this book, filled with beautiful paintings of the birds that can be found around Hickling, England. . Full Cloth. Very Good/Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Hardcover.

There is one small edge tear with some rubbing to the bottom front flap of the dust jacket.
