Description:
Sweden 1992. Jenny Nyström (1854-1946) has always been one of the most loved illustrators in Sweden. She has depicted the childrens’ world with valor and she believed herself that this was due to her love for children. She was a sought after and well paid illustrator and as the sole supporter of her family, she was forced to take whatever she could get in order to make ends meet. That she also was a very talented artist with a solid academic education both from the Art Academy in Stockholm and from Paris is perhaps not as well known. Her versatility is reflected herein, including academic painting. Illustrations from books, newspapers and documentaries are all covered in this book., English, Year1992, Illust. B/W32, Illust. Color49, ISBN 9185926566, Code 3383. Hardbound, In Pristine Condition, Bibl. Bio. Pages 103, Size 10”x 8”
