Description:
Tartu: Noor-Eesti Kirjastus, 1931 Octavo, boards, 253pp. Karl Aben translated this collection of contemporaneous avant-garde Latvian literature, with work by Jaunsudrabins, Akuraters and Pavils Rozits, with a prefatory chapter for each author. This was the first of what would have been a series of translations from new Latvian literature. Cover design by Richard Kivit. These works signal the end of the avant-garde, experimental era of Latvia, when in 1932 much of the content was deemed subversive and suppressed. Worldcat finds no copies of this title worldwide.

Description:
Stockholm: Latvijas Architektu Biedribas, 1960 Quarto, wrappers, 28pp. An expatriate Latvian architectural journal, published sporadically from 1950 to 1993 with a total of 21 numbers. This journal was devoted to covering some traditional but mostly modernist Latvian architecture and the profiles and works of contemporary architects. This number focuses on Latvian architects working in Canada. Most of these are by and for exiled Latvian architects; however, there are also profiles of Latvian architects and their projects in Latvia that are found. There is an English language summary in each issue that is announced. This is usually confined to the Table of Contents. Importantly, after 1940 no real architectural journey was published in Latvia up to 1991. OCLC finds only one incomplete set at the LOC, and two library holdings in Europe. Rare
