Description:
London, etc.: Cassell, 1917. 1st ed. . Blue Cloth. Good+/No Jacket. 14 Cms x 20.5 Cms. viii+255; end gutters cracked but firm, brown flecks to endpapers, small black 'The Times Book Club' label to end pastedown plus faint blue date stamp '12 May 1917', otherwise internally clean and unmarked; covers generally clean, spine very sunfaded and end-rubbed. An interesting attempt by a committed psychic researcher to formulate a more general philosophy of science in which every science has both 'Light' (i.e. fully known) and 'Borderland' or 'Twilight' regions still under exploration. He reviews the latter not just in relation to psychic phenomena but in orthodox disciplines too. Am charitably classifying as Philosophy of Science rather than Occult.

Dordrecht Etc.: D. Reidel, 1981. 1st Edition . Paperback. Fair/good/No Jacket. 15 Cm x 22 Cm. ix+525+2(series list). Boston Studies in the Philosophy of Science Vol.47. At first glance this looks very good but closer examination reveals what appears to be faint waterstaining on top side margins through to c.p.17 and down front free endpaper edge, plus what looks like a small nibble from top outer corner from p.483 to end (with some brown staining on rear free endpaper too), Covers clean and undamaged however, although sp. and strip along front cover are slightly darkened. An excellent working copy only therefore. Note: quoted non-UK shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down outside this range.
