Interesting candid 8" x 10" publicity photo of the actress Ella Raines at a restaurant laughing with fellow dinner companions, Rosalind Russell and Geraldine Fitzgerald. Ms. Raines is mostly known for her performances in the Peston Sturges film "Hail The Conquering Hero" & the Film Noir classic "Phantom Lady." Very light minute crease to the bottom right corner of the photo. Vg+

Hollywood: Universal Studios, 1939. Original Candid Still . Still. Rare original candid still of George Raft looking dishelved and tired and giving the eye to starlet Dorothy Arnold as Mischa Auer looks on. The caption on the verso reads" George Raft made up for a tough guy in Universal's I Stole A Million" visits Dorothy Arnold and Mischa Auer on the set of Unexpected Father at the same studio. Bookstore rubber stamp also on verso and very minute bottom edge wear. A nice candid look at Hollywood studio publicity. Vg.

Hollywood: Columbia Studios, 1954. Original Still . Still. An original candid still of Gloria Grahame on the set being made up for her role in Human Desire. The still is interesting and rare in that it shows the actress with who I assume are her two children and the pasted caption on the verson calls the film "The Human Beast." Also rubber stamp on verso of the noted studio photographer Irving Lippman. The film was directed by Fritz Lang. There is minor and invisible rippling to the still from the pasted down caption, otherwise its fine and a scarce still.

Hollywood: Fox Films, 1934. Original Still . Paper. Original very nice 8" x 10" close-up portait of a young Claire Trevor from early in her film career. The portrait was taken for a forgotten little B film "Hold That Girl" that starred Trevor and James Dunn and had its New York City showing at The Roxy Theatre. Stamped on the back is the rubber stamp of noted Hollywood studio photographer Otto Dyar along with rubber stamp for The Roxy Theatre and pencil note credits that have been partially crossed out. There is also a bookstore rubber stamp on the verso along with a date stamp "Mar 24 1934. Trevor had a long productive Hollywood career including a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1948 for "Key Largo. Very light wear (creases) to the bottom corners of the photo, otherwise vg+.

United States: None, 1900. original Postcards . Small Paper. A very nice collection of 25 vintage photographic postcards mostly of anonymous people including two images of African Americans. A few of the cards have minor wear otherwise the postcards are in vg. condition. Sold as a collection only.

Hollywood: Metro Goldwyn Mayer, 1938. Original Color Tinted Still . Still. Rare original 8" x 10" color tinted scene still from a forgotten film "Paradise For Three" The film starred Mary Astor and Robert Young who are pictured in the still along with the comic character actor Sig Ruman. Fine condition.

Hollywood: Hollywood, 1940. Paper. 2 beautiful original 8" x 10" fashion publicity full figure portraits of the actress Constance Cummings who is modeling some great Deco fashions. Nice & fine.

Hollywood: Republic Pictures, 1935. Original Still . Still. Intriguing original still from a little known B thriller The Crime Of Doctor Crespi which starred Erich Von Stroheim and Dwight Frye as doctors. Frye is best known for his roles in Dracula and Frankenstein films. The verso is rubber stamped with "Republic Pictures" and is from the library of Photoplay Magazine which is also rubber stamped on the verso. Fine

Czech.: Czech, 1930. Paper. These are 10 very nice 11" x 14" b&w stills from unknown Czech. films from the 1930's. Although these are unknown, they make marvelous photographs, that are both campy and mysterious. Full of Art Deco accents in decor & clothes, there are also several portraits & 1 still that is definately sappho in nature. Printed on heavy stock paper. Sold as a collection only. Vg+.

Hollywood: 20th Century Fox, 1986. Original Stills . Paper. A nice collection of b&w 8" x 10" original stills from two of David Cronenberg's better films. The collection includes 7 stills from Croneberg's remake of "The Fly" that starred Jeff Goldblum and Geena Davis. Most of the stills have 2 scenes per page, and a 10 still set from 1988's "Dead Ringers" that starred Jeremy Irons in a dual role as very troubled twin doctors. Genevieve Bujold played their love interest. Considered by some to be the best film of 1988. Sold as a collection only.

Taken in 1950 I cannot figure out a movie that he was doing at M.G.M. at this time. Nice portriat of one of the few child actors who continues working to this day. Fine.

The still shows Dietrich on a bus crowded with people dressed as a peasant with a man sleeping on her shoulder. There is a very faint line crease across the top left corner and some small tack holes on the corners of the white borders, otherwise vg+

Germany: Germany, 1953. Paper. Collection of 29 5" x 7" b&w stills on heavy stock paper for an obscure German film, Die Starkere. The stills are funny & campy and would make great postcards.

Hollywood: Hollywood, 1920. 1st American Edition . Paper. Early & rare original 8" x 10" still photo of an early 20's airplane stunt shot. The still shows a pilot trying to rescue a damsel in distress, who might be Ruth Roland, as she clings to one of the plane's wings. The airplane appears to be on the ground. Vg.
