Encyclopedic survey, by the prominent Viennese social critic, of Bolshevist culture, written ten years after the October Revolution. Published in English in 1927 as "The Mind and Face of Bolshevism." Fülöp-Miller's analysis is generally sympathetic, though not written from a Marxist perspective and perhaps somewhat lacking in revolutionary enthusiasm -- facts for which he was taken to task by Marxist reviewers, including Upton Sinclair. Price reflects increased domestic shipping costs for this very heavy book. Overseas shipping will be quoted at cost.

Five lectures, each separatey paginated: "The German Idea: 'Deutschland ueber Alles'"; "The British Idea: 'Britannia Rules the Waves'"; "The American Idea: Phrases versus Facts"; "The Russian Idea: The Proletarian Revolt"; and "The Labor Idea: The History and Future of the International." Having contrasted German, British, and American nationalism with the Russian Revolution and labor's internationalism, the author concludes with the proposal for a socialist world federation (EGBERT II, p. 278).
