NY: William H. Colyer, 1840. Later edition; first published in 1836.. Original paper-covered boards, brown cloth spine, with printed paper spine label. Boards worn, wear to spine ends, label scratched and barely legible, scattered foxing throughout; basically very good otherwise. 19th century library label from Pittsfield [NY] on inner front cover. This volume contains both the first and second series, but paginated continuously; the title page of the Second Series is page [115]. A classic of Canadian humour first published in 1836, there are many editions.

Toronto?, 1948. Small self-wrappers, stapled. A 32-page booklet. Slight staple rust, but a fine copy. Signed by Kirkconnell, "with compliments", on the front cover.

London: John Bale, 1931. First edition.. Orange boards lettered in black. A clean very good copy in a slightly worn dust jacket, a few tape repairs to the inner jacket, some small chips to edges. Ownership inscription on the front end paper dated 1932. Signed by the author on the title page. A scarce novel of a girl's life in Ontario. Of Irene Moody: "Irene Helen Hawkins Moody [1879-1958] was born in St. Thomas, Ontario to parents who emigrated from the Island of Guernsey, she was educated at the St. Thomas Collegiate Institute, Alma College, and the Curry School of Expression. Upon her 1905 marriage to Dr. William Moody (1881-1912), she moved to Vancouver. In 1936 Irene married Frank Bernard Lewis (1876-1943), a widower businessman who had built his fortune in Revelstoke. Toronto: Clarke, Irwin, 1947. First edition, first issue, with the title page integral (not on a stub) and no inserted slip from the publisher. Red cloth, spine lettered in silver. A little discoloration to the cloth, evidence of a small sticker removal from the front end paper, some scuffs to the upper edge, but a nice bright copy in a slightly chipped and scuffed dust jacket; the front flap of the jacket is detached, and there are small chips and tears to the edges, mostly at the corners and folds. A very good copy in jacket, basically, of the first issue, which is not often seen.

Burnaby: Blackfish Press, 1971. First edition. This is one of 200 numbered copies, signed by Livesay. Eight loose sheets laid into a black decorated folder. A bit of yellowing to sheets, but fine. Issued as the third in a series of Broadsides of Canadian Poets.

Salt Spring Island: (m)Other Tongue Press, 2005. First edition. Pictorial wrappers, sewn. One of 125 numbered copies, signed by the author. One dent in the upper edge, a fine copy.

Victoria: Frog Hollow Press, 2007. First edition. Gray cloth covers, bound with string ties across the spine, front cover lettered in black. Of a total edition of 200, this is one of 15 specially bound. This copy out-of-series, not numbered. Fine condition.

Madison, Wisconsin: Abbot Press, 1962. First edition. . Two-tone cloth, spine lettered in gilt. Limited to 350 numbered copies, this is number 180. Faint edge wear, a nice bright copy. Inscribed and signed by the poet on the front fly leaf, "To Rona ....". Lorita Whitehead contributed to The Fiddlehead, and to The Atlantic Monthly. This book is uncommon.

This copy is inscribed and signed by Newlove on the title page, dated Ottawa, 1993. Very faint wear to edges, a fine copy.
