A fine & apparently uncirculated copy.
A rather bizarre zine, quite likely a one off, partially written by "Mabel" who is also apparently the compiler. Various contributors offer essays including "Steampunk as seen through the eyes of Olivia Candlelabra," "Visions of St. Gutenberg by Madame Chaos," &, of paricular note, an "Interview with documentary filmmaker Albert Vazquez" conducted by Mabel herself. Vazquez specialized (specializes ?) in short films often related to LGBTQ issues, homelessness, & counterculture.

[Morristown, New York: Judson Pill Co.], printed by Cosack & Co, of Buffalo & Chicago, no date, ca 1881 (endorsements so dated). 24mo, 32 pages. Original pictorial sewn paper wraps, the upper cover in lithographed color. Slightly soiled & tanned, small rubber stamp of distributing agent J. B. Nies of Howard in Centre County, Pennsylvania at the rear wrap, otherwise Near Fine. The Judson Pill Company was a dummy company of William Henry Comstock, perhaps best known as the purveyor of "Dr. Morse's Indian Root Pills." The formula for Judson's Mountain Herb Pills, which cured every possible complaint, was apparently given to a Dr. Cunard by an Aztec Chief as a gift following the doctor's life-saving treatment of the Chief's daughter. Dr. Cunard, and Dr. Morse, though celebrated and fabulously wealthy, were apparently never actually seen by the public. Not found in OCLC as of 8/13/2020.

Includes substantial content regarding the extensive travels of Edward Daniel Clarke through Italy, Scandinavia, Finland, Russia, Siberia, Asia Minor, and Greece. In addition to his accomplishments in minerology & chemistry, Clarke was one of the founders of the Cambridge Philosophical Society.

Laid in is a program for a post-graduate course on the Milwaukee Brace held in Atlanta, GA in 1973 which includes an attendee's manuscript notes. Lightly soiled, sporadic smudging in the upper margins, otherwise Very GoodWalter Blount and Albert Schmidt developed the Milwaukee Brace in 1946 Additionally, Blount was one of the first surgeons to recognize fractures in children as a possible symptom of abuse.

Rather uncommon, OCLC locates a single copy at the National Library of Australia

Lightly soiled, brief wear at spine extremities & corners, modest foxing & occasional finger smudges mostly at pastedowns & endpapers, previous owner's name in pencil at first blank page, about Very Good in rubbed dust jacket with edge wear including small losses & tears, with a couple archival tissue repairs on the verso, Good or so. The author was chief test pilot for Sikorsky Aircraft during the most critical years of the helicopter's development

Book v in a series of "approved sex booklets" for "adults only" by the prolific Dr. Krauss who also marketed "Hygienique." Provides rather explicit instructions which do not neglect the pleasure of sex, includes a description of the rhythm method, & advocates the practice of eugenics:
"To bring children into the World is to share with God in the supreme function of creation of the race ... Science has demonstrated that the production of idiots, deformed, depraved and diseased offspring is the result of ignorance of parents of the great physiological facts surrounding the beginnings of a new life ..."

Buffalo: The Erie Medical Company, no date (1900 - 1915 per OCLC). 24mo, 32 pp. Printed, stapled paper wraps. OCLC Accession number 43753721, finding a single copy at the University of Rochester.Lightly toned brief edge wear, otherwise very good.A earlier version was published in 1893.The Erie Medical Company was in business from 1885 to 1922. Their principle product was a vacuum appliance which, allegedly, instantly caused "vigorous circulation of the blood" (~Edward C. Atwater Collection of American Popular Medicine and Health Reform).

Original broadsheet circular measuring 13.75 inches by 9 inches printed on light paper, with three illustrations from woodcuts. Not found in OCLC Worldcat as of 8/8/2022. Folded once horizontally, couple of shallow, soft creases at corners, otherwise Near Fine & clearly uncirculated. The illustrated recto provides the seven safety features of the burner, the verso provides testimonials & rather gruesome reporting of kerosene disasters:"Mother and Child burned to Death.""Elmira, Feb. 22. - A four-year old son of J.H. Miller, of this city, tipped a lighted lamp from the table yesterday morning and was burned to death by the explosion and fire which ensued. Brief wear mostly at spine extremities, previous owner's name at ffep, light foxing, otherwise very good or better Beebe-Center, an American experimental psychologist, was instructor in psychology at Harvard who writes in the Introduction: "The purpose of the present volume is to remedy the ghost-like state of the psychology of pleasantness and unpleasantness by bringing its facts together into a single orderly structure."

On the verso, S.S. Little "Specialist on the Eye," of Cumberland, Maryland, advises in part:
"No Charge is made to determine if your eyesight may be improved or headache relieved by wearing properly adjusted glasses. Bear in mind the date, and do not fail to consult me if your eyes trouble you ..."

Located at Second Avenue between 17th & 18th Streets, the building was converted to apartments in the 1980s.

Dr. S[amuel] Dana Hubbard (1869 - 1937), dermatologist, was a member of the New York Board of Health for 40 years where he led efforts to expose quacks and investigated violations of medical practice acts. Additionally, he published numerous pamphlets presenting 
"facts" related to sex, motherhood, marriage, etc. Of note, Dr. Hubbard provided "scientific and medical facts" for at least two movies including "The Naked Truth, The story of a fellow who sowed his Wild Oats" and "Some Wild Oats," both of which are promoted in this pamphlet.
