Mass market paperback in color pictorial covers. Published originally by Harper in 1951 as "Cure it with Honey." 3rd paperback printing, this copy indicated with a Toronto publication. A worn copy with a lean and stress to the spine ; cover rubbed edges and surfaces. Page stock toned and with about 30 pages missing a shallow chip from the bottom front corner. The binding remains sound and the book still in readable (if handled carefully) condition. Shallow damp stain top and front edg eof the first 20 or so pages. Striking cover art by A Leslie Scott remainsgenerally bright and neat. An uncommon noir with marijuana themes set in the Mexian American community of Oakland. Good only at best .

Square sound copy; slightly cocked in the spine. Printed on laid paper by Donnelly. Top edge of title page and contents page have staple perforations where an article or related epehemeral piece had been attached. Prior owner's neat manuscript signature to front endpage. Periodic penciled marginalia at the lower margins of some pages reads as if written by Ayn Rand. Prior owner was in serious disagreement with the author of this progressive tract which documented wide scale, international social woes but addressed them in a local, personal setting. The rather intense marginal annotations give some vibrancy to the text and provide a rich contemporary context. Book condition is VG- .
