Pamphlet. 40p. staplebound pamphlet, very good, initialed by the author "L.V.G." on title page, and again on p. 4 with a brief inscription and a green Maltese Cross pasted on. "A narrative condensed by the author from the monograph first published in Boston, Massachusetts in 1932" - page 5. The Ukrainian-born author had visited Haghia Sophia while in the Russian navy, before settling in the US. He writes about the symbolism of its artwork in the context of other religious structures from East and West.

The casing is very slightly dished, textblock bears a remainder dot on bottom edge, a very good copy that is sound (as is the dj), clean and unmarked except for author's signature (she signs in full across the titlepage). Anthropologist E-L observes wild Californians in their utopian habitats, "documents the synthesis of Asian, European and Indian beliefs combined with modern psychology characteristic of the movement.. interviewed individuals active in the movement.. argues that a social movement need not become institutionalized to succeed.. She notes they 'seemed to know I was an incorrigible rationalist but accepted and educated me anyway'
