[19]p., of b&w plates picturing Auckland architecture, aerial landscapes, and recreational activities, sewn binding; wraps are mildly soiled and somewhat edgeworn, second page plate folds out into four panels displaying a landscape photograph, however, two of the three creases contain 1 inch tears, else in good condition. Tourist Series No. 29.

Hardcover. xviii, 381p. plus publisher's menu, presswork on glazed alkaline paperstock, illustrated with profuse captioned b&w site and portrait photos throughout a running text, front endsheets occupied by a doublespread Rand McNally map of Oceania, in colors. Hardbound in 9x6 inch dark green cloth boards gilt, top edge gilded, a small but massive item. Frontis portrait of Boyce is halfway detached, but in all other respects is sound, clean, free of any markings. In this period a number of books attest a deep curiosity between America and Australia, and equally strong commercial interests.

Indianapolis: John Woolman Press, 1963. Pamphlet. 56p., staplebound booklet, 5.25x8.25 inches, light handling wear and soiling else very good condition. Includes black and white photos taken while traveling in the USSR. Travelogue by a recent Howard University graduate.

New York: Padell Book Co, 1952. Hardcover. 223p., first edition, very good condition in like dj. Erotic "memoir" by the poet, who was active in the Trotskyist movement in 1930s and in the New York City WPA writers project.

[28]p., coated paperstock throughout, tinted pale yellow with turquoise spot color and sepia photoreproductions, softbound in 6.5x4.5 inch decorated stapled wraps. Monochrome map. Externally a bit worn, internally staples have rust without migration, a good-only copy.

Shanghai: Xin wen yi chu ban she 新文藝出版社, 1956. 62p., slender paperback, very good. Description of the author's travels in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland.

Verviers: Imprimerie Ch. Vinche, 1929. Paperback. 176p., illustrated with numerous vignette-sized photos reproduced indifferently in b&w, two folded maps with onlay color helps, and a huge body of tables giving details of accommodations. Glossy alkaline paperstock throughout, softbound in 8.5x5.5 inch glossy color-decorated wraps. One signature was slightly mistrimmed at the bindery, mildly edgeworn with a front-cover corner crease, spine a little rolled, a sound clean copy unmarked by either institution or owner.

N. pl: the author, 1969. Hardcover. 84p. incl. photos, title page missing. Ex-library, though the only indication is a release stamp to the top page edges. The author, an African American schoolteacher from Detroit, describes her travels in Africa, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, and her meetings with Schweitzer, Nkrumah, King, etc.

Crimping along the spinefold, slight signs of handling, and an inked ownership inscription on the contents page. A good copy.
