This is a small book of poetry by Madame de Basily in English. Her story can be read on the Hoover Institution website. She is American born and the donor of the items in the Nicolas de Basily room. This book was published in Paris the year after her marriage in November, 1919. Her husband was the Diplomat of Imperial Russia 1903 - 1917. The poetry in this 31 page book is dated 1915 - 1917. It appears to be one of a kind. There are marbled end papers plus three from, front and back. The cover has wear as shown. There is foxing from page 21 onward. The poems are titled: In Tifles, The Cry of Holy Russia, Anarchist Lullaby, Human Wreckage, Afternoon Service in the Alexander Newsky Monastery, The Kremlin, White Night on the Gulf of Finland,Republic of Cronstadt, ProphesyTo Life. There is also a dedication to her mother. Mr. and Mrs. de Basily are buried in Baltimore. Land, Estates, and Wealth were never recovered in Russia.

Burgundy hardcover book with spine curl and worn end caps, corners and top and bottom edges. The free front end page has a name, two small soil spots and one stamp from a Used Book Exchange at Milwaukee Downer College Textbook with underlining in pencil. No Dust Jacket. Hinges are intact. Still a usable book. Ships with delivery confirmation.

No Dust Jacket, Very worn corners and edges of spine. Ink stain back cover, Movement-type scratches all over. Name in pencil front end page. Seam split at title page.

NOT an ex-library. No writing inside. Some scuffs and scratches on backside of dust jacket, photo 8 and crinkle at top of front dust jacket with light edge wear at top and bottom, bottom photo 12. Book in excellent condition. The darker green edging caused the long scuff mark on the back of the jacket. World Sport bled through to the front cover. Some sunfading at top of book. Basically no actual wear to the book, acid free paper.

Used book In Very Good condition. The inside cover has a Book List for American History + teacher's name written on front end page. Inside cover & front end page has some soiling. Textbook.

The dust jacket is well worn with tears and small pieces missing; however, it has kept the black boards with gold lettering clean and bright. Price on flap is $3.95, No. 9467A. 0260. Back of dust jacket with the Kennedy family photo has No. 5861. Remnants of some glue on back end paper and opposite side. 1960 F - M (probably sixth printing of the 1960 hardcover edition) with untrimmed leaves. First Edition not stated. Stain on top edge pages of book. No personalisation inside.

Book Looks Like New but has a dent in the spine and No Dust Jacket. A small amount of dirt bottom exterior pages by page turning corner. No extra shipping for Media Mail. Priority or International Mail by Weight.

This is the English edition. It was also published in Russian, probably by another publisher. Some light wear to wrapper with a couple of white spots towards the bottom of the spine. The exception is the back cover which is heavily creased due to having an 8 fold map bound in, which is tanned. States with 170 maps, photographs, drawings. This book is complete and quite shocking.

I have kept this book in Fine Condition by putting it in a plastic bag. The original price sticker is on the back. Assumed First Edition ( I did not open it). The sticker on the front shows that 10℅ of the proceeds were being donated to the victims of 9/11. This isbn# shows this book was published in 2001.

Back dust flap states, " Buy U.S. Savings Stamps and War Bonds". 1945 Edition with First Printing on copyright page. Front flap states, This edition specially bound in cloth $1.50". Sticker Price on cover is 2.45. No writing inside. Songs listed on flaps. Illustrated end papers discolored from age. Dust jacket has a closed tear about 3/4" at top and bottom. The top and bottom edges and corners have wear and some fraying with a tiny piece missing by bottom spine. Some soiling on jacket and first song photographed. Illustrations are in black & white and some in color. The dust jacket is somewhat wavy. No smells or signs of water damage. Publisher location at The Rockefeller Center, NY. The last song is The Star-Spangled Banner with the American Flag illustrated in color. A children's book from World War II.

Name, address & faculty no. listed on front end page. Inside cover stuck to front end page at binding and made about a one inch tear near bottom. Dust jacket torn at edges of spine & corners. Appears to be a First Edition - no other printing listed.

Price on flap is $3.00. Hardcover book is bright. Bottom page tips at front rubbed. Top page ends at back dented. End caps dented and rubbed. Bottom corners rubbed. Slight spine curl. Binding somewhat tight, like new, creaks when shut, but owner stamped name on top and bottom exterior pages of book. Dust Jacket has scratch on the cover, some movement marks, wear at the bottom edge of the spine with two small tears, and a small tear at back corner of dj.

Fine HC with bright gold foil lettering (not issued with a dust jacket) features Senator Obama. Bottom edge of book has a small dent.Book can be viewed in PDF format from the Illinois Secretary of State. Ships with Delivery Confirmation from Chicagoland..... home of Barack Obama.

To my good friend and loyal supporter (see photo) with Best Wishes George H. Ryan Sr. Inscribed on backside of front sandpaper, the capital building is on the front. Authentic book issued by the Illinois Secretary of State in Very Good or better condition. Spine edges bumped, bottom by page turning corner soiled or dusty. Has a slight smell from storage .

First Printing Book & Dust Jacket in Near Fine condition. (Condition is subjective.) I think it's fine. Second book has sun faded spine and previous owner's Bookplate inside cover with name stamped on top pages, third Printing 9/70. Both books ship as one in the U.S.A.

Second edition, June 3, 1911. A stain on the front and back. Top edge of spine very worn or nibbled on. Wear to bottom edge and front corners. Back hinge is cracked. States Made in the United States of America.

Book is Near Fine with the Corners and Spine Edges Rubbed, Bumped. Beautifully illustrated. Covers states All Ages but I think it is an Advanced Sixth Grade Reading Level. Dust Jacket is worn at corners and edges with tears. Top edge crinkled, bottom rubbed, movement marks.
