Clean and Near Fine in a bright, price-intact, VG dustjacket, which shows soiling to the panels and vey mild chipping at the spine ends. Octavo, dozens of crisp black-and-white photos in addition to wonderful margin illustrations.

Former owner bookplate at front free endpaper, otherwise clean as could be. Vol. VI (complete onto itself) in Julius Hoffmann's "Bauformen-Bibliothek" series.

The scarce 1972 catalogue of this exhibit of Italian artist Adolfo Wildt. VG in its pictorial wrappers, with light soiling to the panels. Octavo, 167 pgs., including scores of plates thruout at the rectos.

Paris: Office Central D'Editions et De Librairie, 1925. 1/2 Vellum. Very Good -. The major Art Deco ("Arts Decoratifs") catalogue, based on the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes, "the World's Fair of design --the first since the War-- and the exhibition that essentially defined Art Deco". Includes 96 photogravure plates per volume, a number of them in color. The original edition (circa 1925-1927), published in 12 volumes but here lacking #3 and #12. Each of the 10 volumes that make up this set tight and VG- in their 1/2 vellum over marbled boards, with pronounced soiling and abrading along several of the covers. (To be sure, even though this is still very desirable as such, our set should be viewed strictly as a reference (or reading) copy.) A solid copy to boot of the 1961 stated 1st edition. Clean and Near Fine in a crisp, price-intact, VG+ dustjacket, with very light creasing and chipping --and several small closed tears-- along the panel edges. Light offsetting as well to the dustjacket's rear panel. Oblong octavo, nicely designed throughout by William Duffy.

Uncommon, early catalogue --circa 1910-- featuring the brilliant work of renowned Danish silversmith and designer Georg Jensen (1866-1935). Clean and Near Fine in its dark-brown wrappers, with lavish sepiatones throughout. Octavo, tiny private library tage at the foot of the spine.

The 1954 1st edition of this impressive history of graphic design in the book arts, "with special reference to lettering, typography and illustration". Very light wear to the hinges (at the spine ends), otherwise clean as could be. The "Limited de Luxe" edition, #24 of only 150 copies issued. Quarto, 122 figures and 40 plates supplementing the text.

A very sharp copy of the uncommon 2002 1st edition of this pocket-sized examination of some of the giants of 20th century design. Clean and Near Fine in its dark card wrappers, with just the slightest touch of faint wear to the spine ends. Internally immaculate, high-quality color reproductions throughout.

Tight and Near Fine in its beige wrappers, with a small, light stain at the foot of the front free endpaper. Otherwise, near-pristine internally, with the 40 tipped-in woodblocks and the 47 (as stated) tipped-in specimens in beautiful, unblemished condition. Housed in a very solid, Near Fine example of the publisher's thick, printed chemise, with its original ribbon-ties completely intact. A lovely, lavish exmple of Japanese post-War bookmaking.

"Eleven reproductions in color and 244 in monochrome; eight pages of reproductions in four-color line-and-tone; an aquatint, a monochrome lithograph and three lithographs in colour specially drawn for this work" (from the front flap).

A solid copy to boot of this 1930 festschrift (or tribute) to the 60th birthday of Josef Hoffmann, the great Austrian designer and architect, who was one of the founders of the Wiener Werkstatte. Neat former owner inscription at the front free endpaper, very light wear and chipping along the panel edges. Quarto, wonderful period ads at the rear.
