There is some discolouration along the seem between pages throughout the book. The paper has darkened somewhat, and the top edge of the text block is dustted. The front fixed end paper has an inked price of 20 cents. The beige covers are clean with light wear to edges and corners, and shallow bumps at the top and bottom of the spine. The dust jacket is in Fair condition, with general wear and handling, with the worst problem being about 1 ½ inches of paper missing from the bottom of the spine. The attached scan shows this in detail. The jacket is now in protective mylar.

The listing of titles in the Connie Blair series on the back of the half title page ends with this book, so this is a first or an early edition. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, showing no wear or damage. The end papers have a thin line of fading around the edges, but no marks. The beige tweed covers are in Good + condition, with light wear at edges and corners, and two small marks on the back cover. Despite these flaws, this is a nice tidy copy. The dust jacket, which has been protected in a plastic cover, is in excellent condition, with fresh colours and very little wear. A very nice copy. Synopsis: The last of the "Penny" series.
