This is one of 60 numbered copies on Japan or Rives paper (this copy on Japan paper with a suite of the illustrations on China paper). The original drypoint by Rodin, "Antonin Proust", is present in two states (Delteil 10, vi and vii) both on Japan paper. The original chiaroscuro wood-engravings by Lepere ("Eve") and Beltrand ("Figures de Purgatoire") are present in four states each: the line block on china, the tone block on china, the final state without letters on china, and the final state on Japan.
