Book appears to be first edition, Copyright stated 1941, 14th printing. Book is in very good condition. Some soiling at top of front cover and slight soiling elsewhere on cover. Very little shelf wear along edges. Dj has a tear ca. 1.5" horizontal about half way up the spine; otherwise very little wear. Pages are clear without tears, foxing or marks. Except for some tape marks on the first flyleaf page and what appears to be two small date stamps on the next to last fly-leaf page. Unclipped Dj covered with a Plasti-Kleer transparent book cover has been taped onto the rear cover. Book tells the story of Mary Jemison who was captured by by Indians in 1758 and who chose to remain with them. Illustrated by the author.
