Cracks to guttering, causing pages to become detached. Water staining throughout with marks to most pages. Text still readable. Boards have heavy edge wear with corner bumping. Large area of loss to spine strip. Noticeable splits to joints, causing boards and bottom edge of spine to be loose. Water marks overall. Book is bowed and forward leaning.

Moderate crinkling and cracking to paper at gutter. Pages are heavily tanned and foxed with visible markings throughout. Binding throughout is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Pencil markings to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Slight crushing and splits to spine ends and edges. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges. Visible wear and white marks to boards.

Slightly raised spine bands. Gilt lettering and decoration. Marbled paper over boards, as well as marbled end leaves and edges. Light rubbing on covers, mostly on fore edge. Inked last name at top of title page. Volume remains tight and very attractive.

Gilt lettering and decoration. Marbled paper over boards, as well as marbled end leaves and edges. Slight rubbing on covers. Inked last name at top of title page. There are four leaves near the end with small edge tears and corner fold creases. Volume remains tight and very attractive.
