Description:
Girard: Haldeman-Julius Company, 1940. Pamphlet. Very good. 8vo. 8.5"x5.5" Staple-bound wraps. 24 pp. Light wear to corners and edges of wraps. Toning throughout. Tight and clean. This is a reprint of Ingersoll's political lecture. Though the wraps are colored orange, this is considered to be part of Emanuel Haldeman-Julius' "Big Blue Book" series, an offshoot of his more recognized "Little Blue Books." Haldeman-Julius was a prolific socialist publisher, editor, author, and social reformer, best known for his series of inexpensive paperbacks covering intellectual subjects like literature, politics, religion, fine arts, history, and more. There were 2300 unique titles in the series and most are very collectible.
