Description:
George Routledge & Sons, publishers, London undated hardcover, 6¼" x 8¼" (spine cloth missing) Lacking spine cloth, dumped corners. Gold type and black & gold illustrative front cover to red cloth. READING COPY ONLY This is Professor Hoffmann's third book of illusions (following 'Modern Magic' & 'More Magic'), and whilst the text block appears complete, the lack of spine cloth means this copy is for the practitioner (and hopefully the binder first). Hoffmann starts here with the conjurer's special clothing, appliances, table and wand, and then works through a series of 'vanishes' (watches, rings, handkerchiefs), building to more sophisticated routines - all with patter (and amply illustrated). Packed book weighs 1½ kilos (3¼ lbs), slightly higher shipping will apply - we will quote first
