In very good dark green bevel edged cloth boards, with blind stamped ruled and decorative edges on all sides, gilt circle to front with gilt male head; gilt titles to back strip. The covers are clean, straight and quite firm, with very slight wobble from cracked hinge. The end papers are tanned and foxed around the edges; name and address sticker to front paste down. Slightly age-toned cut edges; tinted brown top edge. The text block is in very good condition, tightly bound and clean except for the prelims and the end pages which are lightly marked. With many b/w illustrations and with attractive head pieces. Thought to be issued without dust jacket. Part of colllectable collection.
