The Macmilan Company, 1935. Hard cover. Poor/Poor. Jacket is worn, chipped, and smudged. The top edge is chipped with two one inched tears along the hinge. The bottom edge is worn with a tear along the front cover flap and a few chips on the bottom edge of the spine. The front and back cover are smudged, but not affecting legibility. Spine is coffee stained, affecting some legibility. Cover is sunned along all edges with the front cover being smudged from a coffee stain, not affecting legibility. The bottom corner edges for cover are bumped. Spine is bumped and sunned, not affecting legibility. Binding is tight. Pages may be yellowed, but otherwise are clean and unmarked. As is.

Included are "The Words Upon the Window-Pane," "Fighting the Waves," "The Resurrection," and "The Cat and the Moon." Included at the end is the musical score by George Awtheil for "Fighting the Waves." Green cloth binding with a decorative design of masks and a helmet on the front cover. Clean text; 163 pages, all rough-cut. A sound copy that has faded to tan on the spine and around the margins. Lacking a dustjacket.. First American Edition.. Half-Leather. Very Good/Near Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Ownership signature on front free endpaper. Fine in very good, slightly nicked dustwrapper a bit darkened at the spine and with a closed tear about two-thirds of the way down the spine.

1934. London: Macmillan and Co., 1934. Original bright blue-green cloth, with dust jacket. First Edition, which consisted of 3000 copies -- dedicated to Lady Gregory, co-founder of the Abbey Theatre, who had died in 1932. This volume consists of four plays that had appeared onstage at the Abbey Theatre -- "The Words upon the Window-pane," "Fighting the Waves," "The Resurrection" and "The Cat and the Moon." "Fighting the Waves" appears in book form here for the first time; the other three had appeared only as numbers of the Cuala Press, but are here accompanied by long Introductions written by Yeats for this book. The final section of the book is the music, by George Antheil, for "Fighting the Waves." This volume is in fine condition, the leaves still unopened; the dust jacket is just about fine as well (a few stray marks). Wade 175.
