Interior is clean and tight. Narrow strips of yellow along the hinge side of the blue pastedowns and end papers as is typical with this publication. Dust jacket has some wear along the edges, slight toning due to age. There are 2 slight indentations to the back cover of dj. Beautifully illustrated! Pictures available upon request. Very light indication of handling to boards, some very slight rubbing at the extremities of fore edge corners and foot of spine. Jacket is slightly faded with age along top edge, and also has very little indication of handling/wear. Front flap and original price is clipped. Jacket is wrapped in mylar cover. First edition, having originally appeared as a story in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction in 1980. When five ordinary appliances, feeling abandoned by their beloved master, decide to take matters into their own hands, they find themselves on a treacherous adventure. But through it all, the brave, indomitable two-slice toaster Sunbeam urges the group onwards towards a new and happy home. The basis for the beloved 1987 animated musical film.
