Solid clean copy in original black cloth with title lettering in metallic copper to spine. Dust jacket bright and clean with publisher's $3.00 issue price on unclipped front flap. Jacket is rubbed at spine tips and corners with a few very short closed tears. A solid and attractive early printing of Buechner's highly regarded 1st novel, author inscribed.
