The rear hinge is cracked, and the thick, stiff paper used in this publication, though fine and beautiful, lends toward the cracking of the spine within the text. Still, an attractive, mostly intact and functional original binding. Previous owner's bookplate on front pastedown (William Ronghead), and notation neatly on first free endpaper. Illustrated with a frontisportrait of Browne. Contains the essays "Hydriotaphia: Urn Burial"; "A Letter To A Friend"; and "On Dreams." One of the series "The Books of the Verulam Club."
