Spine slightly faded and binding a bit cockeyed, but still tight. Owner's label on front cover; otherwise clean and tight. Vintage printing of this work by the famous muckraker.

Light soiling to the covers; spine a trifle sunned; contents are clean but for one page with one name underlined in colored-pencil, that of John Stewart Bryan of Richmond who was the publisher of the Richmond Times Dispatch. A fairly early work by this influential journalist.

From the library of the author's niece the actress Marian Seldes, who inherited his library and thus from George Seldes' own library. Scarce in jacket.
