Gilt title on black cloth boards, 232pp illustrated 8vo. Author was born in 1895 and educated at King's College Cambridge. With a varied career he wrote several books including two studies of the Gurkhas. It was his experiences in Palestine during the first world war in a Gurkha regiment and later the British connection with Nepal when he was stationed in India that prompted his interests and travels.
