Slight foxing on topedge, else about fine with librarian Ruth Mortimer's ownership label on rear pastedown in a very good dust jacket with a lightly toned spine, and modest foxing on the front panel. Signed by Drew on the title page beneath her printed name. Laid in is a postcard with mailing stamp ("Northampton, Mass. May 31, 1953") and a handwritten note from Drew addressed to Ruth Mortimer at Gardiner House, Smith College: "54 Prospect St. Can you come to tea text Friday June 5th at 4:30? Do hope so. No need to answer if you can. Elizabeth Drew." Mortimer was an American rare books curator and librarian, known for her work at both Harvard University and Smith College. She also served as the first woman president of the Bibliographical Society of America from 1988-1992.
