Collins, 1949. Hardcover. Good/Acceptable. 1949. 256 pages. Green pictorial dust jacket over green cloth with gilt lettering. Inscription to front endpaper. Pages are lightly tanned and thumbed at the edges, with light foxing. Binding has remained firm. Boards are a little rub worn, slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped. Spine ends are mildly crushed. Light tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. The unclipped dust jacket has heavy edge wear, with tears, chips and areas of loss.

Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Plates are bright and clear. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout however binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is bright and clear. Moderate tanning to spine. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge-wear with some areas of loss, heavy tears, chips and creasing.
