Description:
Garden City, NY: Doubleday, Doran & Company, Inc., 1930. 1st Edition . Hardcover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Kurt Wiese. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, inscribed and signed by the author and stated first edition. Black cloth exterior shows some scuffing and toning along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The internal binding is good, no hinge issues. No other handwriting other than that from the author, no bookplates, no library markings. The inscription (pictured) is somewhat bizarre and almost seems a bit Hannibal Lecter-ish. The interior pages are toned due to age but are overall clean, there is a few scattered smudge marks and foxing spots, but these are minimal. Page 23 has a small crease in the upper outside corner. This book was originally published by Doubleday, of which this one is stated first edition on the copyright page. The later editions were published by Collier.
