Rear free end paper is tanned; the others are white and clean. Lightly tanned cut edges. Near fine tightly bound page block with clean pages with colour and b/w illustrations. No dedications etc. In good pale beige dust jacket with image of Diaghilev to front and black titles. The jacket has tanned edges, top edge chipped. Covered in thick plastic jacket. Clipped dustjacket is browned, with some wear to the outer extremities and a chip to the head of the spine panel which has an adjacent closed tear to the upper left front panel.

Includes over 170 black and white illustrations with several in color as well as the Leon Bakst frontispiece. A very good copy with some bumping to the corners in an about very good dust jacket that has a chip to the top of the spine and a number of edge tears and minor wear.
